I remember Renda from school especially from Shorthand Class...she had a great laugh and sense of humor. I hadn't seen her much since school...only a couple of times but we always had a laugh. She had a great soul and my sympathy and prayers go out to her family.

Renda's Senior picture says so much and captured her effervescent spirit and sense of humor. Renda and I spent many, many hours together at her house playing records in junior high & high school. We were both crazy over Gary Lewis & The Playboys. She liked Sonny & Cher and The Monkees, too, and of course The Beatles. We lived about 6 blocks from each other on East Hill & she lived near my grandmother & great aunt so Renda's house always seemed so welcome.

We both attended Lincoln School but never in the same classrooms. I remember her taking Business Law and Physics while I avoided math & science like the plague in favor of Latin. I don't think we were EVER in ANY classes together, but we spent most of our Saturdays and many summer days listening to record albums, Chicago radio stations WLS & WCFL Top 40's, and making pizza.

After she had a stroke in the 1990's, I went to a Gary Lewis & The Playboys concert and sent her two rolls of photos I shot from the front row. How I wish she had been with me there!

Her obituary didn't state it, but she lost her first baby at birth. Her mother passed away a few weeks after our 40th reunion.
