Connie Kurriger (Aull)

MUSCATINE, Iowa–Constance 'Connie' S. Aull, 69, of Muscatine, went home to the Lord on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She is now free of pain and suffering. We now have our own personal guardian angel.

A funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021, at St. Mathias Church. The Reverend Hai Dinh will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Connie was born on October 27, 1951, in Muscatine, the daughter of Cletus 'Pete' Kurriger and Audrene Hulme. She graduated from Hayes Catholic High School in 1969, the last graduating class. She then graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Psychology. She was united in marriage to Joseph Aull on November 24, 1973, at St. Mary's Church in Muscatine.

Connie held various secretarial jobs throughout her life, retiring from Bent River Credit Union, formally GPC Credit Union, in 2014 as an office manager. She played the organ at St. Mary's Church.

She was the best wife, mother, nana, and friend. She had a passion for tennis, playing on many competitive recreational teams throughout the years. Once during her career, Connie was named Recreational Tennis Player of the Year. She never did anything halfway, including attending all events of her children and grandchildren, playing tennis, and making sure all life events were captured on video. The family will have so many memories to look back on because of this.

She is survived by her husband, Joe of Muscatine; three children, Joel Aull of Muscatine, Becca Stamler and husband, Andrew, of Muscatine, and Jessie Pearson and husband, Lyle, of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Abby, Lola, Jenna, and Hayden Stamler, and Cameron Pearson; her mother, Audrene Brady of Constance
