MUSCATINE — William Harry Nau (Willie), 64, of Muscatine, passed away Tuesday May 31, 2016, at his home.
Willie was born July 9, 1951, in Muscatine, to Bill and Dorothy Nau. He graduated from Hayes Catholic High School in 1969, where he played on the basketball team and distinguished himself as an excellent golfer. After graduating from Hayes, Willie worked for 37 years for Grain Processing Corporation, retiring in 2006.
Willie was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He loved his annual fishing trips to Canada and spending time at his place on Rathbun Lake. Willie took great pride in his vegetable garden and was happy to share his produce with friends and neighbors.
Willie is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Dawn Nau of Muscatine; his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Rob Jorgensen of Wenatchee, Washington; his mother, Dorothy Nau of Muscatine; his brother, Stephen Nau of Rock Island; his sister, Becky Strong of Muscatine; and his four grandchildren, Jason Nau, Robey, Jack and Charlie Jorgensen.
At Willie’s request, there will not be a memorial service. Friends may honor Willie by making a donation to Delta Waterfowl.
