MUSCATINE, Iowa —Thomas “Tom” A. Maxfield, 61, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Dec. 21, in Bentonville, Ark.

Born May 23, 1950, in Rock Island, Ill., he was the son of Harold “Max” and Edith (Mahaffey) Maxfield. Tom grew up in Muscatine. He was a 1969 graduate of Muscatine High School.

Tom enjoyed collecting “treasures” he found that others had thrown away. He was a member of the New Life Church in Siloam Springs.

Tom loved memories of the past, so please come visit with us and share a special memory. Written thoughts and memories will be read at this service.

Flowers and or donations will be accepted at the Geneva Country Club after noon on Saturday, Dec. 31 or Sunday, Jan 1.

Survivors include his wife Darlene; one daughter Khrystal Meixner and husband Melvin of Siloam Springs; and two grandsons, Dylan Maxfield and Zackary Meixner; four sisters, June Siefker of Davenport, Pat Nettleton (Bob) of Muscatine, Janet Brauns (Tom Gillespie) of Muscatine, and Sandra Crookshanks (Gary), of Davenport; and one brother, Lawrence (Donna) Maxfield of Davenport. Several nieces and nephews and his always faithful friend Jim Lykam, of Davenport.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John Maxfield and Richard Maxfield and a sister Madeline.
