ATALISSA, Iowa—Brian K. Burke, 61, of Atalissa, died on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at his home.

Memorials may be left to the family in care of Betty Burke. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Brian was born on March 23, 1950, in Muscatine, the son of James Michael and Betty Kincaid Burke.

He had worked for Thorton Plumbing.  He enjoyed fishing.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother, Betty Burke of Muscatine; one son, David; one brother, Thomas Burke and wife, Mary, of Muscatine; two sisters-in-law, Linda Burke of Muscatine and Susan Burke of Muscatine; and several nieces and nephews.

Brian was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, James M. Burke Jr. and Danny Burke; and one nephew, Nathan Burke.
