MUSCATINE, Iowa –Dennis ‘Pat’ Almandinger, 61, of Muscatine, died on Thursday, January 19, 2012, at his home.

Pastor David Revelle of the Christian Center Church, in Davenport, will officiate the service.  Honorary bearers will be Norman Miller, Joel Fuller andBob Storr.  Casket bearers will be Orville Miller, Rick Peterson, Tony Giles, Mike Cromer, Randy Sell, and Larry Walker.

Memorials may be made to the Heartland Hospice Program or to the American Cancer Society.

Pat was born on April 21, 1950, in Hannibal, Missouri, the son of Millard and Lillian Davis Almandinger.  He married Michelle Taylor on April 20, 2002, in Muscatine.

He had worked for HJ Heinz Company and retired after 38 years of employment.

He was a member of the Christian Center Church in Davenport.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and breakfast with the Heinz retirees every Thursday morning.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Michelle Almandinger of Muscatine; two daughters, Lyndsay Hayes and fiancé, Steve Phillips of Muscatine, and Leslie Frye and husband, Cody, of Muscatine; five grandchildren, Joseph, Jonathon, Joshua, Emma and Ethan; his mother, Lillian Almandinger of Montpelier; three brothers, Michael Almandinger and wife, Randy, of Davenport, Bradley Almandinger of Montpelier, and Daniel Almandinger of Montpelier; four sisters, Kathy Peterson and husband, Paul, of Davenport, Susan DeWitt and husband, Jerry, of Davenport, Becky Dipple and husband, Denny of Ben Lomond, Arkansas, and Sara Brewer and husband, Lee, of Montpelier; several nieces and nephews; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert and Noreen Taylor of Concord, Illinois; and one brother-in-law, Gregory Taylor and wife, Melinda, of Arcola, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1984
