Roberta "Bobbie" Hemesath
DUBUQUE, Iowa Roberta "Bobbie" Hemesath, 54, Dubuque, died Monday, June 5, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2006, at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Private family burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2006, at the Siegert-Casper Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., Dubuque, with a wake service at 7:30 p.m.  Memorials may be made to the Bobbie Hemesath Memorial Fund.

Mrs. Hemesath was born Oct. 29, 1951, in Muscatine, the daughter of Steven and Caryl Vetter Vorwerk. She married the love of her life, Scott Hemesath, on May 3, 1986, at Nativity Church.

She was born and raised in Muscatine, where she was a graduate of Hayes High School. After high school, she attended St. Anthony's School of Nursing from which she obtained her LPN in 1973. She began working at Finley Hospital in 1973, where she remained until 1990. She then worked as a nurse for the Visitation Sisters. She enjoyed shopping, especially if she could find a bargain; partying with friends, and most of all, being with her family. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Alexia "Lexie" and Katherine "Katie", both at home; her father and stepmother, Steve and Elizabeth Vorwerk of Muscatine; a sister, Mary Becky and husband, Martin, of Tucson, Ariz.; mother- and father-in-law, Marilyn and Henry Hemesath of Monona, Iowa; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Michael and Sue Hemesath of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Gary and Bobbie Hemesath of DeWitt, Stan and Angie Hemesath of Waterloo and Dave and Kathy Hemesath of San Diego, Calif.; sister- and brother-in-law, Anne and Ron Weis of St. Louis, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by a son, Jacob Vorwerk; her mother, Caryl Vorwerk; and two, nieces, Stacey and Maddie Hemesath.
